Richard Lee
Entrepreneur | Speaker | Author
Having launched a host of successful business ventures both during and after his 13-year career as a professional footballer, Richard Lee’s ever-expanding portfolio shows no signs of abating. If anything, he’s just getting started.
As a master practitioner in NLP, Richard’s philosophy is fuelled by kaizen; continual, never-ending improvement. An engaging individual with a thirst for personal development and a story to tell, he is committed to helping others fulfill their potential through creatively-delivered keynote speaking and individual coaching.
“A simple shift can yield extraordinary results”

Off the back of a First Class Honours Degree in Media and Journalism from Staffordshire University, he’s written two books: a refreshingly honest portrayal of the psychological obstacles facing footballers in the best-selling Graduation: Life Lessons of a Footballer and Are You Sure You Want to be a Professional Footballer?, an in-depth guide as to how aspiring footballers can and should prepare for life in what can be a highly rewarding yet often unforgiving sport.
Notable credits include Dragons’ Den where he gained a £150k investment in hat business, Dr Cap, matchday reporting and punditry on Sky Sports’ Gillette Soccer Saturday, BBC’s Late Kick-Off and regular appearances on talkSPORT radio.
In between his numerous projects, Richard has earned international recognition for building a Network Marketing team of more than 700 members within a two-year period, popped up on popular Channel 4 show Come Dine With Me and even dabbled in stand-up at London’s Comedy Store… Although the less said about that last one, the better.
Despite establishing himself in the highest echelons of professional football, Richard firmly believes his time is now. Kaizen.
